12 AM intro/conclusion writing

The 5-minute intro

SENTENCE 1, OPTION 1:
 write a reflective/opinion statement about fairness in the courtroom, the U.S. justice system, trial by jury, the importance of justice, etc.

SENTENCE 1 OPTION 2: Mention Erin Fuch's article and what it claims about the problem with juries (you will tie in 12 AM in next sentence)

SENTENCE 2, OPTION 1:
 In the play 12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose, (finish the sentence with a brief background of the play’s events/situation)

SENTENCE 2, OPTION 2:
 In the play 12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose, (discuss how Fuch's concerns about juries is evident in the initial interaction of the jury in the play)

• Rewrite the MT in different words and varying the sentence structure

• Answer 2-3 of the following questions:

Ø  What was the danger of what happened in the jury room? How was it possible to resolve it?
Ø  Why is justice so hard to achieve? Why is it crucial to do so?

Ø  Is trial-by-jury reliable? Is it fair? How can fairness in a jury be reached?
>If you talked about Fuch's article in the intro, how did the play resolve some of Fuch's concerns?
